T367. Iron Tsuba with Gold & Copper Inlay
T367. Iron tsuba with fine gold and copper inlay. 6 x 6.7 x .3 cm at the slightly raised rim. The nakago hitsu-ana is .6 x 2.2 cm. I don’t know what the Kanji (which alternate between gold & copper) say but I bet it’s a poem. I think it is interesting the way the carved rim isn’t the same all around. I’m sure this has meaning also but what that is I have no clue. Condition is great; none of the inlay is missing. $175.
