Q260. San Mai Awasi tsuba (2 repousse’ plates either side of a copper core. 6.9 x 7.1 x .3 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .7 x 2.6 cm. A dragon in waves on the shakudo plates. As is the case with this type of tsuba, both sides are the same design. When I’ve had these before the cover plates have been loose at the seppa dai; on this one they are still firmly fastened to the core. There is a shakudo fukurin. $145.
