Q110. Papered Iron & Brass Tsuba, Heianjo Zogan

$495.00

Q110.  Heianjo Zogan tsuba, or maybe Yoshiro.  8.2 x 8.3 x .33 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.8 cm.  This tsuba comes in a fitted box and with a Tokubetsu Kicho paper from the NBTHK, dated 1961 and telling us that the tsuba is iron, round, with small sukashi, and brass inlay.  Sure looks like Heianjo Zogan (or Yoshiro) work to me; wonder why they didn’t make the call.  The brass inlay, which continues over onto the mimi, is amazingly intact; almost none of it is missing.  $495.
