K185.  Fuchi kashira of shakudo nanako plate.  A Samurai on horseback, worked in gold, shakudo, & silver is riding in waves of gold & silver.  A Samurai on horseback, gold, shakudo & silver, adorns the kashira.  The inside dimentions of the fuchi are1.7 x 3.3 cm.  I’m sure I heard a story that goes with the Samurai in waves but I can’t tell you what it is, sorry.  The fuchi is slightly unusual in that the Samurai rises proud above the rim, to occupy the 1st half diamond of the handle wrap when mounted.  Condition is excellent; there are no himi-toshi.  $325.
