K130.  Iron tsuba with extensive gold, silver, and shakudo inlay.  6 x 6.7 x .5 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.7 cm.  Someone at the recent show in San Francisco told me this is Bushu Tanaka Ryokazu.  I can’t guarantee that; I’m not sure of the mei.  I am, however, sure that this one is special.  On the front we have a dragon in the clouds over boisterous waves.  On the back we get the reflection of Mt. Fuji in water (so cool the way this is done) and is that another dragon at the bottom right?  Condition again is excellent; it appears none of the soft metal is missing.  Great tsuba.  $875.
