K102.  Shibuichi tsuba by Yokoyo Soyo.  6.6 x 6.9 x .4 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.5 cm.  This tsuba has a hako-gaki by Mr. Torigoye, a noted scholar of kodogu art.  I showed this piece to Robert Haynes at the recent show in San Francisco; he said it likely is by 3rd or 4th generation Soyo.  The 1st generation was the top student of Yokoyo Somin.  There is a dragon on the front and a tiger on the back, both done in crisp katakiri-ba.  Nicely signed and condition is excellent.  $1,250.
