C294. Tsuba of yamagane with shakudo fukurin. 7.4 x 7.9 x .4 cm on the fukurin (2.5 mm on the plate). The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.8 cm. A very pleasant tsuba in excellent condition. Robert Haynes has seen this and gives it to Mito Yogoro, a smith who worked in the 17th century (died 1681) and was fond of wave themes and often left his work unsigned. $475.
