Q239.  Iron tsuba with ginger.  7.9 x 7.9 x .4 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.8 cm.  The Japanese word for ginger, myoga, is a sound alike for another word that means good luck or long life or something else auspicious; thus its prevalence as a theme on kodogu.  The rim of this tsuba is crowded with prominent tekkotsu.  $225.
