T436. Higo Iron Sukashi Tsuba Papered to Nidai Kanshiro

T436.  Iron sukashi tsuba papered to Nidai Kanshiro Nishigaki.  7.5 x 7.9 x .45 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is 1 x 2.7 cm.  This is classic work of the group: sanmai kiri design (3 paulownia branches with leaves, in excellent condition (the surface is wonderful) and in a fitted box with pillow.  The former owner has told me that this came from the Eckhard Kremers collection.  There is a NTHK-NPO paper dated 2017 giving this tsuba to Nidai Kanshiro Nishigaki.  $2,295.
