Hardbound with a cloth slipcase, 9 3/4 x 12 1/4″, about 500 pages in Japanese, Romaji, and English.  This is from a limited edition of only 100 copies.  Shinto is the new sword period, the 17th and 18th centuries.  729 well done oshigata of great blades: all of the important smiths and, what sets this book apart, many lesser known smiths are included.  This is a great reference.  At the western front of the book is all the text given in Romaji (Japanese in the English alphabet), and a glossary of sword terminology and list of smiths in English.
