B607.  Nihon no Mei Kabuto by Yoshihiko Sasama.  1972.  3 volumes, Clothbound with slipcases, 7 1/2 x 10 1/2", 1,039 pages in Japanese.  This is the Bull Goose book on Japanese helmets; nothing else in print that I'm aware of comes even close to the depth and detail of this book.  Hundreds of photos and a thorough text illustrate everything there is to know on the subject.  I have also the 3 volumes of Nihon Katchu Zuikan.
