B1061.  Sukehiro Taikan by Iida Kazuo & others, forward by Homma Kunzan.  1980.  Clothbound with a slipcase, 10 1/2 x 14 1/2″, 414 pages in Japanese.  Echizen no Kami Sukehiro was among, if not the most important swordsmith of Osaka Shinto.  As would be expected with Sukehiro, this is a large, beautiful book.  There are a few pages of index and text at the beginning; the rest of the book is given to sharp photographs and well drawn oshigata.  Included are 80 works by Sukehiro, 17 by his father, 1st generation Soboro Sukehiro, and 40+ by artists in his school.

There are a few spots where the binding isn’t perfectly tight (the book likely was opened improperly when it was new) but all pages are intact and otherwise condition is excellent. 11 pounds. $395.
