B310. Umetada Meikan
B310. Umetada Meikan by Honami Kohaku. Reprinted in 1968. Softbound in sewn, Japanese style book with cloth folder & ivory clips. 9 x 12 ½”, about 200 pages if counted western style (each page is double ply, folded at the edge and sewn at the spine). The book begins with tipped in photos of tsuba and swords, and the bulk of the book is oshigata by Honami of 89 blades. All in Japanese, of course. This is the Umetada School from early Shinto times. This is also one very cool book.
There is water staining to the slipcase and just a bit to the book’s front cover and 1st page; otherwise all is fine. 3 pounds, 4 ounces. Normally I ask $175; with the water damage it will be $100.
