B292. Yasukuni Tosho

$25.00

B292.  Yasukuni Tosho by Tom Kishida.  1994.  Softbound, 8 ¼ x 11 ¾”, 96 pages in Japanese.  During WWII the Japanese Government/Military designated the Yasukuni Shrine to be a site for the production of quality swords for the war effort.  Classically trained Swordsmiths came together and made some of the finest of war time swords.  This book tells of the effort and the smiths, and shows some of their swords.  Beautifully crisp black & white photos; a must have book for collectors of Gendaito.  At the back of the book is a fold out timeline of the Yasukuni forge.  The JSS/US website (jssus.org) has a free download of a translation of a book titled Yasukuni To.  Wonder if this is the same book.

Like new condition.  1 pound, 4 ounces.  Was $60; now $25.
