B924.  Yamashiro Kuni Fushimi Ju Kaneiye Tsuba and Nobuiye Tsuba and Kaneie Nobuie Ten.  1995.  The first 2 titles are clothbound with slipcases, 14 1/2 x 10 1/2″, 75 & 63 pages in Japanese.  Beautiful kodogu in 2 beautiful books.  The Nobuiye half of this pair is incredibly difficult to find; I’ve had the Kaneiye a few times but only once before the Nobuiye.

Also included in the lot is another book from the same exhibition in Japan: Kaneie Nobuie Ten.  11 3/4 x 8 1/4″, 21 loose plates in a folder with text in Japanese.  8 tsuba by Kaneie and 13 by Nobuiye are shown about 1 1/2 times life size in crisp color photographs.  The best photography of these 2 masters’ pieces of any book I’ve seen.
