B302. The H. Seymour Trower Collection of Japanese Art
B302. The H. Seymour Trower Collection of Japanese Art, edited by Henry L. Joly. 1975. Hardbound, the slipcase is missing, 9 ½ x 12 ½”, in English. Pages with illustrations are printed only one side and numbered one side only also. This is somewhere between 200 and 250 pages. And it is # 4 of a limited edition of 100. This is a facsimile of a 1913 original. Once again a vast collection with a great range of items: netsuke, okimono, lacquer, and of course, sword fittings. The original was an auction catalogue, and this book contains an addendum: prices realized at the sale (if only I could buy at those prices now). All items are described; many are illustrated in black & white.
Condition is great. 3 pounds, 12 ounces. $90.
