B116. Sword Guards and Fittings from Japan: The Collection of The Museum of Decorative Arts, Copenhagen
$600.00
B116. Sword Guards and Fittings from Japan: The Collection of the Museum of Decorative Art, Copenhagen by Danske Kustindustrimuseum. 1983. 2 clothbound volumes in a clothbound, hinged box, 10 1/2 x 15″, 571 pages in English and Japanese, of a limited edition. This collection was given to the museum by Dr. Hugo Halberstadt and it is a very impressive collection. The books are equally as impressive: large, beautiful and with commentary & descriptions by Nobuo Ogasawara of the Tokyo National Museum. Many pages of color pictures and thousands of pictures in black & white: a wonderful reference that is very difficult to find for sale.
This book is with a long time and trusted consignor to my site; he will ship from the US. My usual guarantee applies.
There is a bit of minor bumping and shelf wear on the hinged box, faint spotting on the book backs, and a slight bit of foxing on the outer edges of the page blocks (nothing serious); the rest is fine. 13 pounds, 14 ounces. $600.
