T101. Tempo tsuba

$200.00

T101.   TempoSchool, I believe.  Iron sukashi and hot stamps with tiny silver ten zogan (inlaid dots), 7.8 x 8.7 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana measures .9 x 2.8 cm.  Edo period.  The sukashi, the Kanji for Ten, is the signature.  This is an excellent tsuba in excellent condition.  There are ample linear tekkotsu on the rim, the iron has a wonderful, velvety patina (and it sparkles in the light, evidence of an origin in sa-tetsu, sand iron), and I see no evidence of missing zogan.  Was $275, now $200.
